How to set lowering time on SmartControl (V2.2)

The reason for setting the lowering time is to keep tension on the trailer raising winch rope at all times and not allow the rope to get lose and crossed up on the winch drum.

The trailer MUST be on level ground.

1. Position the trailer on flat level ground and fully raise the trailer.

2. Lower the trailer jack (jockey wheel) to the lowest position. 

3. Switch the SmartControl power switch OFF.

4. Hold the trailer-lowering switch on the SmartControl down and keep holding the switch down until the desired lowering time is reached (step 7).

5. Switch the SmartControl power switch ON.

6. After 5 seconds, the deck will begin lowering and new beeps will be heard.

7. Release the deck lowering switch the moment trailer deck touches the ground and the load comes off the trailer winch rope.

The SmartControl will remember the lowering timer value when the switch is released and return to normal operation. The process can be repeated to set a new time if desired, or if a mistake is made during the initial process.
